First Dress Available

The Angelica dress is ready for custom orders! I did run out of yarn, but as is makes a really pretty dress. You can request to make the dress longer, and/or add on sleeves if someone is interested.

How does this work? Well, it works by ordering your dress. Next, getting your measurements. If you don’t want to make an appointment for a consult, I’ll send you an email asking for the measurements I need. If you want to add on a virtual or in person consult, you’ll add that onto your order.

When I can, I’ll buy more yarn and add sleeves to show that option as well. The sleeves are small bell style sleeves.

Brittany Dress

This is the dress that started it all. It would be weird if I didn’t talk about it. I’m not done making the dress. I’ll write a new blog post when it’s finished. I figured when I’m done with the dress it can be something that I offer as a custom dress option.

The top portion of the dress is solid. The skirt part is the Pineapple Lace. It is a beautiful, but a bit difficult, to make. I only had five months to work on this when I started the dress. Now I only have three. I hope I will have the dress done on time!

The dress is name after me, since I’m making the dress for me.

The dress is made with soft cotton yarn. A friend of mine bought the yarn for me as a birthday gift. The yarn I’m using is I Love This Cotton! from Hobby Lobby. It’s the traditional white color. I will have other colors available to choose from.

Angelica Dress

I started making another dress called the Angelica dress. It’s another pattern by Made by BJax. I have included a link to the pattern below the blog post.

This is the second dress pattern from Made by BJax that I am using to make dresses with. I love how it looks beachy or boho style. It would also make a great beach coverup as well. I am more focused on making it a custom wedding dress though. I’ll be keeping the length kind of short, closer to the knees. I’m also going to make the sleeves be a little bit of a flared sleeve.

I love the yarn that I’m using. I’m using Caron Cotton Cakes. The yarn is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic. The yarn is soft, and doesn’t split much when using it. Working with yarn that doesn’t split makes working with it much more smooth.

I ran out of yarn for the Morticia dress, so I started working on this dress until I can get more.

I am still working on gathering patterns, testing to see how well they will size up to plus size, and making them available for custom orders.

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my bridal boutique! My name is Brittany and I crochet plus size wedding dresses. I’m just starting out, and I’m currently working on making my first dress that I will have available for custom orders.

How did crocheting wedding dresses become my passion? I’m getting married in June 2025. I love to crochet. I’ve been crocheting for over 14 years. I am crocheting my own wedding dress. I found that there are almost no options to crochet plus size wedding dresses. There aren’t too many patterns, but overall no options for crocheted wedding dresses. I also love pineapple lace. It is so beautiful. So I thought it would be a good idea to start a business where I crochet wedding dresses for plus size people.

I am starting with crochet wedding dresses. I plan on making shrugs, veils, bags, and more in the future. Crocheting a dress takes time. It can take several months before I finish making a dress. I wanted to have a website up and running first, so I don’t have to make a site after making my first dress.

The pictures in this blog post isn’t using a pineapple late pattern. It is using a pattern by Made By BJax. It’s her Morticia dress. I’m working on making one plus size, so I can have it as an option for custom dresses.
